In Isaiah 1:10-14, God rebukes the Israelites for their meaningless worship. They brought their offerings before the Lord and respected the holy days that God had established for them, but their hearts were far from God. They had a form of worship and religion. Yet, it wasn't form the heart. They were serving false gods and living in sin, but would try to appease God through their rituals.
How often do we find people in the church doing the same thing. They faithfully attend church, give their offerings, and sing songs of praise but live as they want during the week. They are very religious, but have given themselves truly to the Lord.
