Colossians 1:6 - "... In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace."
It is good for us to remember that the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world. Sometimes, we get focused on the spiritual decline in the world today and miss what God is actually doing. We get negative and begin to think that we are on the losing team.
We need to look beyond our own little circle and look at the bigger picture. When we look at the bigger picture through God's eyes, we will see that we are actually on the winning side. When we seem to see a lack of work in our life, our church, and our country, we need to look out over the whole world. We will then be encouraged because we will see the great and mighty things God is doing in different lands.
As a church, it is our responsibility to keep people abreast of what God is doing in other peoples lives and lives of believers all over the world. We hear a lot of negative and depressing news in the media. As a church we need to give them the good and positive news. We need to let people know that God is still on His throne.
