Paul prayed that the Colossian church would be filled with the knowledge of His will which is gained through spiritual wisdom and understanding. (1:9)
How do we know when we are full of God's knowledge? (1:10-11)
We will know when:
1) we live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way.
2) we bear fruit in every good work.
3) we will have great endurance, patience and joy.
This will be accomplished as we submit it Christ's great power that is in us. We see that the knowledge of God is not a head knowledge. Many a people know the Word of God and know about God, but it doesn't translate to a changed life. Knowledge that doesn't bring change or enhance our lives is useless knowledge.
Thank you Lord for your great knowledge that we gain through your Word, and the Holy Spirit.
