God want to do a new thing

Luke 5:39 - "And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’”

Here Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees. Jesus here tells them a parable to show them that the old and new can not go together. Jesus was saying to them I have come to do a new thing, and establish a new covenant. Yet, you want to hold onto the old and not take hold of the new thing that I am doing.

How often in our lives when God wants to do a new thing, we want to cling to the old?

Isaiah 43:19 - "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."God
